Building Better UX for Science

This workshop is for domain scientists and research software engineers interested in user research and user experience (UX) design. We will walk participants through how best to use UX research methods for making design decisions in scientific software development. Participants will learn how to identify high priority usability issues, conduct a user study, and analyze user research data.

STRUDEL Kit - UX Clinic

STRUDEL is an open source science project building resources to enable teams to plan, design, and build user-centered software for their scientific communities. We invite research software engineers, developers, UX researchers, and students working on a research software project to join our usability designers for a 15-25 minute work session. Together, we will walk through your usability needs and challenges to better refine your ideas.
